Beware The People Weeping,When They Bare The Iron Hand

Western occupation forces currently towing the perverse and highly politicized line in Iraq and Afghanistan have much in common with the Israeli Defense Forces, one of these commonalities happens to be their action(s) and reaction(s) which can be summarized,candidly,as: ‘Shooting and Crying‘.
The illegal occupation of Iraq; pillaging villages,torturing civilians,inducing sectarian violence. The illegal occupation of Afghanistan; aiming to destroy a mighty civilization, raping the earth of all its resources,creating senseless and avoidable chaos.
Then comes the unashamed crying.
When your occupation forces (i.e. soldiers) are killed while defending imperialist ideals and pseudo-democratic principles they are covered in traditional awning cloth comprised of stars and stripes and planted six feet into the ground; As a homely mother stands weeping for her little boy and an impenetrable father salutes his ‘brave soldier’ with tears sliding down his face – the brazen weeping creates a domino effect in the crowd and soon everyone is letting go to salty whimpers.
Then comes the sadistic violence.
The deadly incursions, the blotting out of entire villages, the raping of innocent human beings, the depravity and senseless asphyxiation of life, the inhumane torture.
This brazen cycle of crying and killing has become second nature to Americans and the Western world as a whole; whatever shred of morality remained after the plethora of other massacres and colonialist endeavors they’ve taken part in has been replaced with unquestionable nationalism.
Ruthless predator’s trying to justify their homicidal lunacy with pretty words; Operation Iraqi Freedom, Enhanced Interrogation [...]
The sequence of atrocious murders followed by cover-ups and hallow pseudo-substantiations is lagging behind the mourning but the tears are induced and forced,regardless of what you assume.
Of course you are rattled with pain and sorrow but the unwavering whimpers and sobs were brought about due to your own cowardly support of illegal occupation,the brutal rape of another people and the prideful strangulation of justice.
For they killed him in his kindness,
In their madness and their blindness,
And his blood is on their hand.
There is sobbing of the strong,
And a pall upon the land;
But the People in their weeping
Bare the iron hand;
Beware the People weeping
When they bare the iron hand.
- The Martyr, Herman Melville (1819-1891)

I recall, from my ill-spent youth, a bully.
The terror of the playground.
Tormentor of the weak.
Until, one miraculous day, a scrawny lad, pushed past fear by desperation and anger, punched the bully solidly in the face.
The bully, landing unceremoniously on his fat little butt, nose streaming bright red blood, broke into inconsolable tears.
Clambering to his feet, he ran directly to Teacher, wailing, "He HIT me and I wasn't doin' NOTHIN'…..!"
I've never seen it fail.
Scratch a bully and underneath that thin veneer of swagger, you'll find a cringing psychopathic coward.
