Senior Hamas official and lawmaker Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil stated Wednesday that his Movement has become stronger and more powerful after its victory in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC) on the first anniversary of the Israeli war on Gaza, Dr. Bardawil highlighted that Hamas would never give up its adoption of the resistance option as a means to restore the Palestinian usurped rights.
The Hamas official underlined that Israel declared four goals for its military aggression on Gaza, but it achieved nothing, while Hamas fulfilled what it had promised through its fortitude and steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation.
He added that remaining steadfast, showing death defiance and not surrendering to the Israeli occupation during the war is considered by the Palestinian resistance a victory.
Responding to a question about the allegations made by Fatah and the popular front that Hamas quells the resistance fighters, the Hamas official said that there are parties in the popular front working for Fatah officials and paid to say what they are told.
He accused these parties of inventing unreal resistance operations through using armed groups who do not have the will to fight and face the enemy, but they only perform provocative acrobatic displays to irritate and embarrass Hamas.
In another context, the Palestinian people and institutions in Gaza will participate and organize many events and activities on December 27 to commemorate the first anniversary of the Israeli war on Gaza.
The Palestinian government in Gaza is expected to hold a news conference Thursday on the ruins of the bombed complex of ministries to declare the launch of the national campaign to commemorate the first anniversary of the war.
The interior ministry in Gaza, for its part, invited the children of war victims to attend events including a drawing contest organized on Saturday by the “Aqsa cubs union” in the Saad Sayel Hall in Gaza city.
