PA May Seek UN Resolution on Palestinian State

Senior Fatah member Mohammad Dahlan said Tuesday that the Palestinian Authority may seek a Security Council resolution to recognize the borders of the Palestinian state.

Dahlan added that all options were open at this time, including the possibility of a unilateral declaration of Palestinian independence.
An American veto in the Security Council would prove that the White House is uninterested in the two-state solution, he said, pledging to “continue to fight Netanyahu’s plans, politically and diplomatically.”

Dahlan’s remarks came as the Palestinian Authority government announced Tuesday evening that it is determined to continue the implementation of a plan aimed at establishing Palestinian state institutions.
The process will be undertaken in line with a document presented by Prime Minister Salam Fayyad about two months ago.

The PA announced that it continues to work on implementing the scheme, known as “Palestine: Ending the Occupation, Establishing the State.” The Palestinians said the plan will be implemented on the ground, without considering the various areas (A, B, and C) enforced on the Palestinians across the West Bank.

“We are continuing to build the state on all the land occupied in 1967,” the statement said, urging the international community to take urgent action and assume its responsibility for salvaging the peace process in face of the current impasse.

Palestinians should forget about a country name Palestine. They should accept Israel as their country and ask UN to accept them as Israeli citizen and MANDATE Israel to grant them birth right citizenship of state of Israel. Also, all inhabitants living in that land prior to 1948 should be allowed to return to their land regardless of their religion, race and creed.

Asking the Palestinians to give up on their platform, that being a one-state solution: Palestine. – is not at all permissible.
The state of “Israel” is illegal. It was created illegally and continues to assault the indigenous population – the Palestinians.

Trying to “mandate” Israel to grant them “birth-right citizenship” is a bit far-fetched,seeing that no one can even get the Israeli government to comply with International law or Human Rights law.
The Israeli government refuses to comply with UN resolutions, calls from the International community to stop illegal settlements and they obviously have no issue with massacring thousands upon thousands of men, women and children.

There is one solution, a legal one: Giving the Palestinians their land back, period.

When we submit ourselves to Israel in a manner which grants them legal basis for an illegal existence we are only doing more harm to the Palestinian cause.

If the US vetoes this resolution, then the world needs to enact regime change on both the US and Israhell

  3. NDMA says:

One of the principle requirements for being recognized as a legitimate state is defining the states borders. Israel has never done that, moreover more than one Prime Minister of Israel has said Israel will never define its borders. Put simply, Modern day Israel is not, and never has been a legitimate state.

Israelis should forget about a country name Israel. They should accept Palestine as their country. There wasnt an israel then and there shouldnt be an israel now. It’s as easy as wiping it off the map…erasing from all maps the word israel and put back palestine.that was then and should be forever.
