Hezb’Allah warned that the tragic figures of the FAO-on the number of hungry people around the world-reveal the criminal face of the so-called materialistic culture of savage capitalism at present, holding responsible the world countries practicing and committing aggression, occupation and supporting it, with the US topping the list.
Hezb’Allah issued on Monday a statement in which it commented on the opening of the World Food Summit in Rome for fighting hunger, which afflicts more than one billion people around the world.
“The tragic figures of the FAO-on the number of hungry people around the world-reveal the criminal face of the so-called materialistic culture of savage capitalism at present, and uncovers to all mankind the horrors, tragedies and injustices that the global ballistic institutions have caused,” Hezb’Allah statement read.
The Resistance party noted that these alarming statistics shape a clear example of the total failure of these policies in charge of world economy, and state their moral impoverishment portrayed in systematic policies of looting people’s wealth as well as promoting global monopolies.
Hezb’Allah emphasized that institutions of the United Nations- which chose the aim of reducing the number of hungry people by half by 2015 as to top its Millennium goals in 2000- have failed miserably in their mission. “Not only that but also the high increase in the number of hungry people results from the policies of hegemony, aggression, occupation and siege as well as obliging states to follow policies that do not commensurate with its interests,” Hezb’Allah added in its statement.
While expressing belief that the world countries practicing and committing aggression, occupation and supporting it- with the US topping the list- are responsible of this serious global menace, Hezb’Allah concluded its statement by stressing that the solution lies in peoples’ attainment of real independency as well as having free option of owning their wealth and distributing it correctly in such a way that fulfills social justice and security.
