Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday that Israel will not accept Hezb’Allah’s membership in the Lebanese government and will hold Lebanon responsible for any military clash in the north.
“We will not accept the equation whereby a UN member state is home to a militia in possession of 40,000 rockets but also parliament members and ministers,” he said while meeting municipal leaders in northern occupied territories.
“The Lebanese government is responsible for any clash rather than the Hezb’Allah, and all of Lebanon’s systems will be held accountable.“
Barak noted that the government in Lebanon was sophisticatedly set up to resemble a normal state, while Hezb’Allah enjoys veto power and the freedom to act. “They entered the 2006 war with 14,000 rockets and missiles…today they possess more than 40,000 missiles with larger warheads,” he said.
Barak claimed that Security Council Resolution 1701 has failed to curb Hezb’Allah’s arming process, but said that “deterrence still exists.”
“There’s clearly coordination with Iran and there will be attempts to infringe the balance of power on Lebanese soil and in Lebanon’s skies,” he said. “Should we become convinced that the balance has been compromised, we will be forced to consider our moves.”
Turning his attention to the prospect of renewed peace talks with Syria, Barak said: “Israel has an interest in reaching an agreement with Syria from a position of power and deterrence and bringing it out of the axis of evil.”
The Israeli defense minister said he believes there is a way to work out an agreement via regional talks, adding that President Bashar Assad is seeking open and indirect negotiations, while Israel prefers secret direct talks.

To be blatant, who cares what Israel has to say about Lebanon’s parliament or Hezb’Allah? Not only was the resistance group legitimately elected into the Lebanese parliament but they have been the sole reason that Southern Lebanon is still standing and growing.
Lebanon does not have a qualified standing army; The Lebanese army has never been substantially capable of taking on Israel, but in 2006 Hezb’Allah not only defended Lebanon against Israel but rebuilt the South, with no help from the Lebanese government.
Hezb’Allah is a qualified, justified and legitimate resistance group which rose out of Lebanon due to Israeli agression against the Southern region of the country and as long as Israel attacks Lebanon the resistance will be there to protect hill-tops, mountains and homes.
These statements being made by Barak are nothing more than hints at what Israel is planning against Lebanon because the Zionist government cannot have the loss of 2006, which was dubbed the ‘Divine Victory’, hanging over their heads.
When, not if,Israel decides to attack Lebanon this will be (mark my words) known as ‘The Divine Victory: Part II’

Well from what I see, the Lebanese government doesn't really care what Israel thinks:

Could the Saudi puppet finally be on our side or is he just scared of Hezbollah now?
btw, the little teenage girl in me must point this out- the boys in that photo are cute…and it helps that they've got a Hezbollah flag in their hands..
Eventually the world will have enough of this BS and turn that Zionist rathole into a piece of solid green glass.
Having watched all the vids on the tv news supplied by the Jewish State during the 33 day period of mass murder of Lebanese civilians – with the blessing of the IAF by a batch of American based rabbis, it was obvious that not `hundreds` nor `thousands` of rockets were daily falling on the northern part of the Jewish State.
Not a single Katyusha or other rocket fell, as Hezbollah had not launched any, and video evidence advanced of rocket impacts was a complete fabrication in every case. Laughter was tempered in the knowledge that 1200 innocent people north of the border had been shredded or incinerated or DIMEd – which does a bit of both.
There was a Israeli gun boat which had been struck by a missile allegedly by Hezbollah, but methinks they did that to themselves to lend a bit of cred to their propaganda of how fearsome Hezbollah was.
And here Ehud Barak is implying that as 14,000 rockets were in the possession of Hezbollah in 06 then with 40,000 now that these will be used like the others were. Sorry, Ehud, none were.
