I believe that if the USA wants to be an "objective" and "impartial" mediator in the Israeli/Palestinian debate, the USA should give the Palestinians duplicate weapons, duplicate aid, and duplicate dollars. If the USA gives Israel a tank, they should give an equal tank to the Palestinians. I bet the Israelis would discover the Path to PEACE in a hurry if they had to face EQUALLY ARMED MEN. When I have jet fighters, tanks. missiles, submarines, helicopters, APCs, white phosphorous, cluster bombs, fletchette bombs, it is not COURAGEOUS to beat down people armed with homemade junk. I wonder just how "TOUGH" those Israelis are against an EQUALLY armed opponent.
